Inventory Control/Cycle Counter

Job Overview

Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Cycle Counter follows standard guidelines, procedures, oral and written instructions to accomplish physical inventory counts on a daily basis. Assists in the resolution to questions and problems regarding inventory counts. Refers the most complex issues to higher levels.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Perform daily scheduled inventory counts in on/offsite warehouse locations
• Perform repetitive counts when necessary
• Ability to complete quota by daily deadline
• Access warehouse racking to physically count individual items (from small screws to large frames) 
• Pallet breakdown and consolidation of materials being counted.
• Contribute ideas and solutions in regular update meetings to increase the efficiency and accuracy of counting practices
• Document and report warehouse safety concerns 
• Support other warehouse roles when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED
• Strong math skills coupled with the ability to perform accurate counts; accurately perform basic calculations with no margin for error 
• Computer literacy 
• Previous Highlift or Forklift experience preferred. Ability to complete and successfully pass forklift certification within one month of employment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Self-directed and motivated work approach
• Well-developed and demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility in mindset with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities

Physical Demands

• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time 
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., Stand and Bend frequently without issue 
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment
