Job Summary
Reams Asset Management ("Reams"), an affiliate of Raymond James Investment Management, is a fixed income investment management firm located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. We currently have an opportunity in our Investment Operations Department for a specialist who will be tasked with assisting with several aspect of the client onboarding process. This role is not only integral to onboarding the more technical aspects of client accounts, mainly derivatives, but is also a critical piece of the Reams compliance infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Counter Party Management:
- Facilitate the establishing and provide updates as needed to brokers
- Partner with Legal, Compliance and Portfolio Management
- Adding new accounts to existing derivative agreements
- Working with Sapphire and inventory of derivative trading relationships
- Compliance on-boarding:
- Oversees initial compliance set-up
- Work with Client Service and Investment team on guideline interpretation
- Enter rules into Bloomberg AIM system
- Conduct preliminary testing of rules and guidelines before hand-off to Trading for second level testing
- Custodial account on-boarding:
- Manage custodian onboarding documentation
- Work with custodians to open global markets and derivatives trading capability as needed
- Inventory account global market status
- Assist with internal management of account transition status
- Collaborate with internal teams to establish onboarding process

- Portfolio accounting systems and databases.
- Strong Excel skills.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
Education/Previous Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree and five (5) years of relevant experience.

- Any equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training approved by Human Resources.
- Experience with fixed income securities preferred
- Experience with derivative securities preferred
- Experience with non-USD securities preferred
- Familiarity with SWIFT preferred
