Job Summary
Under direct supervision, uses knowledge and skills obtained through training and experience to identify, scan, and index mortgage documents. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information and to identify, research, and resolve problems.
- Reviews loan documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assists with filing and retrieval of overnight and interoffice mail
- Assists with incoming executed closing packages
- Tracks trailing documents and queues for review by Sr. Post Closers.
- Assigns closed loan packages to Sr. Post Closers for boarding and shipping
- Maintains and administers original collateral documents
- Assists with emailing closing agent instructions for final title policies and original recorded mortgages
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of
- Basic concepts, practices, and procedures of closing and post-closing process
- Basic principles of banking
- Basic fundamental concepts, principles and practices used in mortgage process
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft and Adobe
- Company’s working structure, policies, mission and strategies
- Processing various mortgage documents.
- Problem solving
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels, including senior management.
- Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions.
- Balance conflicting resource and priority demands.
- Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiating resources.
Education/Previous Experience
- High school diploma and zero (0) to two (2) years of relevant experience
- OR ~
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
