Note: This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in the office 2-3 days a week in one of the following corporate office locations: St. Petersburg, FL, Memphis, TN, or Southfield, MI
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the asset management function within Raymond James’ Technology department. This function is responsible for tracking all company software and hardware assets, as well as internal and external entitlements. The function is also responsible for facilitating IT Asset audits and scans to ensure compliance with Raymond James Software License Policy.
The position will require thought leadership from an asset management perspective as we strive to enhance the value add from our tracking system and the Asset Management team as a whole. Furthermore, the person in this role will be responsible for assuming a leadership role in the process of managing all external software entitlement true-up/renewals and formal audits. The role will also include extensive interaction with all levels of management and other internal customers as required to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex technology and support issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Defining, managing and governing IT Asset Management Processes including: Software Asset, Hardware Asset, Asset Disposal, Asset Audit
- Hardware / software audit process - scan, collection, coordination, and reconciliation to ensure compliance with policies.
- Manage and assume leadership role for software entitlement true-ups/renewals as well as external vendor software audits.
- Software entitlement process – process control around usage authorization and firm-wide compliance.
- Hardware / software internal record keeping.
- Act as point of contact for Asset Management escalations.
- Primary liaison with our various IT Asset suppliers including.
- Resident expert of Service Now’s asset management module.
- Drive automation of IT Asset Processes.
- Read and interpret license agreements.
- Implement company-wide asset management policies and procedures; continuously review for relevance and monitor activity to ensure compliance.
- Create and manage productive working relationships with RJ’s main software vendors.
- May perform quality assurance on databases, systems, audits, and scans.
- Support IT Asset Management day to day activities.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Working knowledge of ITIL principles.
- Working knowledge of Dev/Ops practices.
- Working knowledge of ITAM Lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Level Software Contracts
Skill in:
- Data analysis
- Microsoft Office Products
- ServiceNow Solutions (ITSM, SAM Pro, HAM, etc.)
Ability to:
- Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.
- Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and five (5) years of relevant experience or combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to understand and interpret license agreements.
- ServiceNow experience highly preferred.
- Financial services industry experience highly preferred.
