Description
Gas and Supply Purchasing Clerks will place purchase orders and intercompany transfers for products by assessing current on-hand inventory levels, selling trends and backorders.
Responsible for maintaining appropriate on-hand inventory levels at all times and returning overstocked items via Return Goods Authorizations when appropriate.
Work closely with sales, warehouse, inventory control, other purchasing personnel, and company operations team to ensure accurate on-hand inventory at all times.
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate
Previous purchasing experience preferred
Required skills include the ability to pay close attention to detail, computer proficiency, familiarity with spreadsheet software, ability to sit for long periods of time, willingness to learn new software tools, and the ability to communicate effectively in person and via email.
