Department Overview:
The Pratt & Whitney Engineering organization is focused on delivering customer requirements, advancing market-differentiating technologies, leading continuous improvement and developing technical leadership.
Pratt and Whitney's Compression Systems Engineering (CSE), designers and analysts of advanced Fans, Low and High Pressure Compressors, is currently seeking an experienced EDP rotational and highly-motivated Associate Project Engineer to join its team in support of the F135 HPC Compressions Systems Project Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Support IPT / supplier activities to meet technical milestones and hardware delivery requirements
Plan & manage task budget and schedule in accordance with program negotiated deliverables
Prepare and present task status and technical content to the IPT Lead, CIPT and Cold Section Engineering management
Support field investigation teams to determine root cause and corrective action for any field incidents reported by USAF customer
Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs), Discrepancy Reports (DRs), and supplier requests for information (SRI's).
Basic Qualifications:
US Citizenship is required due to government contracts
BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Preferred Qualifications:
Entry-level Co-op/internship experience
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
Extraordinary interpersonal skills and proven track record of collaboration, adaptability, innovation and initiative. Proven leadership inside and/or outside of school is desired.
You demonstrate good analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and execute several components of complex tasks
Proficiency with MS suite of products, particularly Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project
