Job Description:

Manages budget preparation including estimate at complete information on Department of Defense contracts, develops work breakdown structures; tracks and monitors project costs, sales, and earnings and provides periodic variance analysis and month/year-end close reporting and monitoring; working capital monitoring and analysis, program financial forecasting and contract closeouts. Ensures program compliance with corporate policies including Sarbanes/Oxley requirements.

Required Skills:

•   0-2 years of working knowledge of accounting practices and procedures e.g., Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

•    0-2 years of budget analysis experience.

•    0-2 years of detailed variance analysis and reporting.

•    Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

•    Good written and verbal communication skills.  

•    Good teaming abilities.

•    Good critical thinking and analysis skills with complicated and sometimes vague data.

•    Consistent goal and commitment achievement skills.

Desired Skills:

•    Working knowledge of Federal/Department of Defense contracts and practices. 

•    Working knowledge of project cost module of SAP/APEX Business System. 

•    Working knowledge of Earned Value Analysis/Management (EVA/EVM).

•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

•    Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.

Education Required:

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree.

Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
