A Material Program Specialist I is responsible for Development and execution of Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) activities for programs within the Circuit Card Assembly Center of Excellence (CCA COE) located in Andover, MA. Provides the single point of contact for Material Strategies, proposal support, material planning for life of programs, communicate GSCM activities and processes and develops GSCM risk mitigation plan. Creates and manages a Material Program Plan, to ensure program success and competitiveness within the CCA COE. Manages the implementation, execution of strategies, and reports progress to the programs and GSCM leadership.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Participation in evaluation and coordination of program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements
- Providing detailed status of work in progress, material availability, and communicates constraints to program schedule
- Assisting with preparation of work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.]Assisting with coordination of interdepartmental activity with quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics and program.
- Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders
Required Skills:
Individual needs to possess strong multi-tasking skills for a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, and strong knowledge of integrated supply chain techniques, processes, and tools. These techniques/tools should include lean approaches to parts presentation, six sigma processes, and e-procurement and e-Logistics strategies. Must be an effective communicator/negotiator/ enabler and able to function within a manufacturing environment using MRP / SFDM systems.
- Experience participating in cross functional teams
- Experience with production control, planning / scheduling, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance or project management
- Ability to obtain an interim level confidential clearance within 30 days of employment
- Candidate is required to complete MPM certification within one year of being in the role
Desired Skills:
- Experience with PRISM, SAP and/or Kinaxis
- Experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- APICS/CSCP certified or ability to achieve within first year
- Experience with financial systems
- Ability to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities, management and customer decisions
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc)
- Strong Interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication skills
