Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients with various injuries and conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help others and a passion for improving the quality of life for those in need.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Help patients with exercises and therapeutic activities
- Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation process
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Valid certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
