LOCATION:  Preference will be given to candidates located in Minnesota.  You will be required to be in our office In Minnetonka, MN three times per week.

Overview 

As a Data Engineer at RAZR Marketing, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data infrastructure to support our marketing analytics and business intelligence needs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines, managing databases and data warehouses, and will be comfortable working with infrastructure hosted in AWS. 

What You Love To Do 

  1. Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support the collection, processing, and storage of large volumes of structured and unstructured data. 

  1. Database Management: Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability. Implement and enforce best practices for data storage, retrieval, and security. 

  1. Data Warehouse Development: Work on the development and maintenance of data warehouses, ensuring they meet the requirements of the business and provide efficient access to data for reporting and analytics. 

  1. AWS Infrastructure: Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy, manage, and optimize data infrastructure hosted in AWS. Utilize AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Glue to build and maintain data solutions. 

  1. Data Modeling: Design and implement data models that align with business requirements and facilitate efficient data processing and analysis. 

  1. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines, databases, and data warehouses to ensure optimal system efficiency. 

  1. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives. 

Qualifications 

  • 5 years of relevant professional experience. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on data pipeline development and database management. 

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. 

  • Experience working with AWS services, especially in the context of data engineering (S3, Redshift, Glue, etc.). 

  • Proficient in SQL and data modeling. 

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices. 

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
