As a Financial Analyst, you will build partnerships with business leaders and actively participate in the financial planning and forecasting process. You will utilize your exceptional reporting, analysis, and presentation skills to help support various business groups within the US Wealth Management function.
What will you do?
- Prepare journal entries and perform month-end close related activities. Work closely with Financial Control group to understand/improve accounting procedures and practices related to revenue booking, expense accruals, data uploads, balances reconciliation. Maintain allocation models. Understand and enhance existing databases for costing models and allocation entries.
- Enhance reporting and analysis of monthly costs by cost center for areas supported. Work closely with other Finance teams to develop management reports, reply to financial queries and analyze variances.
- Prepare and present quarterly forecasts and annual budget for areas supported. Monitor spending within the support departments to understand variances against budget.
- Performs ad hoc financial analysis and supports projects as needed.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with 2 years of experience in in reporting, data queries, or analysis.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Demonstrated experience with Excel and/or Access.
- Highly organized with effective time/project management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and function independently while being part of a team
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience working Access or Smart View.
