What Success Looks Like
As the Director of Product Management, you will collaborate with Innovation, Product Operations, Customer, Finance, and Marketing business units. You will successfully curate and launch an award-winning product assortment on time, balancing RBW Design tenants, Market research, economic logic/ optimum sales, profits., and time-bound revenue targets. You'll be responsible for the product direction, pricing, profit plans, and product development to manage the product line life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for managing and communicating a rolling 2-3 year merchandising timeline that drives strategies for an expanded product offering.
- Accountable for quarterly reporting of product bookings, revenue, and profitability to analyze data to drive business decisions.
- Accountable for Merchandising Business Plan of Product pricing, gross Margin & forecast (revenue forecast, cost forecast).
- Accountable completion milestones for product management across teams of Design, Engineering, Product Operations, Sales, Finance, and Marketing business units.
- Accountable for managing on-time bound deliverables for cross-functional teams of Engineers, Designers, and leadership and Marketing, Sales Analysts.
- Accountable for achieving quantified Sustainability improvements in product offering.
- Responsible for NPD product development initiatives utilizing user and competitive research (Baseball Cards), business case development (Charters), scoping (Charters), and all phases of the product development lifecycle
- Responsible for monthly NPD projects reporting to the leadership group.
- Responsible for budget planning and tracking for the innovation department.
- Accountable for timing and profitability of large custom opportunities/custom opportunities and establishing project plans if needed.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelors degree
- 5 years of experience in data analysis and developing insights & recommendations from data
- 7 years in Product Management, delivering complex products
- Experience in developing product strategy or innovation
- A bias to action to create clarity in ambiguous situations
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial, and value points with partners and internal product and sales teams
- A relationship builder who can build deep, long-term, trusted partnerships
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter, creative and open-minded, persistent with attention to detail, and highly collaborative who thrives in a team environment
