About the Role: We are seeking an energetic and experienced professional to join RingCentral’s Cloud Operations Telco team as Carrier Relations Manager. This role is focused on SMS/MMS management and other enhanced services support. You will help support and maintain our RingCentral messaging platform, manage key relationships and connectivity with all of our Messaging carriers/vendors, and work on new opportunities within the messaging sphere. Reporting to our Director of Carrier Relations, you will dictate and train the appropriate processes for Tier 1-3 support teams, oversee escalations, and liaise between departments for all messaging-related items. It’s imperative that you keep yourself apprised of industry trends, regulatory changes, and help forecast the future of Messaging so that RingCentral can continue to provide the best possible service to our customers. Key responsibilities: Primary contact for RC messaging carrier and vendors Primary design for Messaging enablement and workflows Primary support for The Campaign Registry with RC as a CSP Primary Messaging support behind Tier 1-3 teams Primary support for Toll Free SMS Verification Reconciliation of all SMS Billing and Invoices Learning cost models to forecast telco spend and initiate purchase orders Defining and documenting standards and policies around all responsibilities Supporting peers in multiple departments with data reporting and projection Making recommendations to peers and management based on data analytics Organizing support procedures to help other departments Supporting Marketing and Product with Message related data and trends Attending meetings with internal teams to solve problems/strategize solutions Staging tasks in internal ticketing systems to manage and track the progress of large projects or incidental internal requests Ensure that all projects and initiatives are completed on time and in scope Execute assigned tasks inside of team projects Perform ad hoc analyses or duties as they arise Ideal Candidate has: Knowledge of North American SMS & MMS transport, framework and networks Experience with CTIA guidelines and trends Working experience of SMS related players such as TCR, NetNumber and ZipWhip A commitment to teamwork and a strong work ethic Excellent written/verbal English and interpersonal skills Eagerness to learn and the ability to retain information Proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel Ability to create diagrams and presentations Good organizational skills with a great attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Flexibility to adapt as team needs and objectives change Ability to handle concurrent initiatives, tasks, and projects Ideal candidate nice to haves: Industry contacts, ideally within the major wireless providers General knowledge of UCaaS and CPaaS Any general knowledge of SMS in Europe and around the world Openness to participation in non-Messaging Operations projects Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of Telecommunications is beneficial Experienced with internal documentation services like wiki and ticketing systems An assertive attitude to take initiative in seeking solutions to optimize performance Ability to create diagrams and presentations Ability to adhere to Change Management disciplines What we offer: RingCentral offers all the work/life benefits you could ever want, (and none of the micromanagement.) ⦁ Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, life and pet insurance ⦁ Flexible PTO ⦁ 401K match and ESPP ⦁ Wellness programs including virtual yoga, bootcamp, meditation classes and more ⦁ Paid parental leave ⦁ Milk Stork parental account ⦁ New parent gift box About RingCentral: RingCentral is the worldwide leader in cloud-based communications. If you are hired in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $100,000 and $150,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
