Title: Trust Operations Officer
Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm
POSITION SUMMARY: The Trust Operations Officer is an experienced trust operations professional with a strong orientation toward operational efficiency, productivity, internal controls, compliance, and process improvement. The Trust Operations Officer must be able to operate effectively in a growth-oriented, team-focused environment and be ready to support the Trust Operations Manager in the delivery of a variety of Trust operations services and duties. They must be available to assist, and they will often directly supervise, less-experienced members of Trust Operations. This position will oversee certain operational functions in the department. This position will typically cover at least one of the operational functions of the department, in addition to other tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This position is in an office environment within a climate-controlled facility that can be high-traffic during peak service times. There is frequent use of the telephone, computer and other office equipment associated with this position. Individuals in this position are typically seated at their personal desk for the majority of the day.
The individual responsible for this role must be able to perform job functions with indirect supervision and work effectively as a member of a team and independently while making sound business decisions and effectively supervising employees. The individual must be capable of working harmoniously with diverse personalities of co-workers, staff and customers. This position requires regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work varying hours.

- Assist with daily Trust operations issues
- Ensure adequate due diligence and recordkeeping
- Perform complex inquiries and searches
- Provide backup when team members are absent
- Maintain a high level of process quality, efficiency and audit control standards
- Ensure operations compliance/risk management requirements are being met
- Maintain expertise with respect to industry and system developments
- Ability to independently identify problems and provide solutions
- Effectively communicate with staff
- Provide high quality internal service to the Administrative and Investment areas
- Participate in Trust sub-committees as assigned
- Ensure compliance with RCB Bank policy
- Achieve established personal goals and objectives
- Other duties as may be assigned
- Previous experience in trust operations required
- Experience with various trust accounting systems required, Infovisa/Maui preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Operations professional certification (CSOP/CTOP) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in finance/accounting, or equivalent work experience preferred
- Knowledge of trust and investment regulations, compliance and risk management matters
- Strong decision-making, and project-management skills a must
- Strong organizational skills
- High proficiency in problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust and credibility within the team
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanor when communicating with customers and co-workers
- Intuitive and responsive to the needs of the staff and customer base
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent customer service skills
- Possess effective skills in presenting recommendations based on performance findings both in verbal and written format
- Possess strong knowledge of applicable PC programs
