Technical Publications Document Control Specialist (Aerospace)

Job Summary

RCMT Technical Publications has built a reputation in the aerospace/aviation industry as a leader providing technical documentation development for both military and commercial applications. RCMT has an immediate need for a Document Control Specialist to support the Technical Publications group in Westerly, RI.

Job Responsibilities

  • Track all Source Data to and from external customers
  • Assist in the on-boarding process of new employees
  • Assist technical publications staff on all technical writing assignments
  • Prepare electronic assignment folders for authors
  • Prepare publication for distribution
  • Distribute Released Publications to Customer
  • Manage multiple program tracking spreadsheets
  • Monitor job assignments against Purchase Order quantities to make sure we have funding to support workload
  • Monitor and alert supervisor and customer on Purchase Order shortages
  • Monitor and alert authors and supervisor of upcoming deadlines
  • Assist in the continuing development of publication style guides and checklists
  • Create electronic closeout folders when all assignments are completed
  • Maintain CSC asset tags against individual employee.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a high school diploma and 2 to 5 years of Administrative experience
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills required.
  • Proficient in excel
  • Ability to adapt and multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Team Player
  • Self motivated
