Establish and maintain relationships with both IT and Operational leaders
Troubleshoot problems and address questions from users, and provide on-call support on a rotating basis
Provide on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades
Provide 24x7 on-call coverage for support on a rotating basis
Develop and champion new ideas that adds value to the organization
Participate in process design initiatives
Use critical thinking skills in providing systems solutions and research best practices and implement them in projects and routine tasks
Review software, analyze business operations and collaborate with colleagues, HSS Business Representatives/Subject Matter Experts and end-users to ensure systems are suitable for the organization’s needs
Performs other duties as required
Accountability:
Oversees application sub-work streams or projects
Executes projects with minimal oversight; identifies risks and issues and escalates to project leadership
Take initiative to complete work, solve problems in a timely manner and communicate issues and suggested efficiencies
Manage multiple tasks, analyze data and understand process flow
Facilitate team communication
Manage the implementation needs across various application teams
Complete all tasks in a timely manner with accurate documentation
Make recommendations, review and test changes, enhancements, and each new release as assigned
Coordination with training team to maximize end-user adoption of functionality and tools
Collaborate effectively with Epic using Sherlock or other appropriate tools
Develop and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships at all levels
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Current Epic certification in Beaker Clinical Pathology and Anatomic Pathology
5 years EPIC analyst build, IT implementation, and/or support experience
Experience with LIS and/or the pathology industry, including clinical laboratories, microbiology, surgical pathology, cytology, and blood bank
Driven to expand on current healthcare IT knowledge and expertise
Good oral, written and non-verbal communication skills; ability to forge and maintain strong professional relationships
Strong experience in documenting workflows and providing various solutions to meet user needs
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and pragmatic; a great team player who is analytical and solution-focused
Proficiency with MS Office
Successful candidates will be required to obtain/maintain Epic Certification(s) essential to their function
Flexibility to work an expanded work schedule, including early mornings, nights & possibly weekends during major implementation and support efforts
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in Bugsy Infection Control, EpicCare Inpatient Orders, Order Transmittal
Proficiency with MS Visio, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Monday.com
