    Sterling High School is looking for a Volleyball Coach to lead our team to a winning season. In this position, you will work with our athletes to help improve their skills and performance. This may involve running drills, leading conditioning exercises, or providing instruction on in-game strategy. You will also attend games and make travel arrangements for away games. Our ideal candidate has experience playing volleyball and has previous team sports coaching experience.

    Volleyball Coach Duties and Responsibilities
    • Organize and schedule the volleyball season
    • Conduct player tryouts at the beginning of the season
    • Lead team practices and conditioning sessions
    • Provide in-game strategy
    • Coordinate travel plans for away games
    Volleyball Coach Requirements and Qualifications
    • Coaching experience is a plus
    • Thorough understanding of game rules and coaching techniques
    • Leadership and communication skills
    Sterling is located in Logan County in the Northeastern corner of Colorado on Interstate 76 alongside the Platte River. Having the largest population, approximately 14,699 (2020), in Logan County and much of the surrounding area, Sterling offers shopping, restaurants, numerous parks, a recreation center, access to medical care and is located near North Sterling Reservoir. Sterling is approximately 1 1/2 hours from Denver International Airport and 2 hours from Denver and the front range (I-25 corridor).

    RE-1 Valley School District has two high schools, one middle school, one junior high school, three elementary schools and two preschools and serves approximately 2,100 students in the Sterling and Iliff/Crook areas, employing about 400 staff.
