Job DescriptionRESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company, is seeking a talented and energetic Senior Project Manager with a focus in stormwater planning and/or design in the Albuquerque, New Mexico office. Projects often involve Hydrology, Hydraulics, Floodplain Analyses, Detention and Dams, Channel Design, Bridge Hydraulics & Scour, and Stormwater Management Plans. This position is a hands-on in a successful and continually growing company.RESPEC currently holds water resource related on-call contracts with a variety of NM local and state agencies including, Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority, the NM Interstate Stream Commission, and other agencies. We are currently delivering work for many of these agencies with more opportunities on the horizon. In addition, we have recently completed water resource work for AMAFCA, Dona Ana County Flood Commission, the City of Las Cruces, and El Paso TX. The candidate will coordinate with our key client contacts at these agencies and will oversee the associated work. The successful candidate will also guide our team of talented engineers and technicians who deliver these studies and designs ensuring work-products are technically sound while meeting client & project needs. Qualifications: The successful candidate must have at least a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field with 10 years of experience in the stormwater-engineering field that includes project management experience. The candidate must be a registered Professional Engineer in New Mexico.Additional qualifications include the following:Excellent oral and written communication skillsExperience in managing teams of engineers to provide exceptional engineering servicesExperience in mentoring less experienced engineers in technical and non-technical aspects of stormwater engineeringExperience in business development and client managementPractical application of the various hydrology/hydraulics software including, HEC-RAS (1D/2D preferred), HEC-HMS, AHYMO, and EPASWMMExperience in developing and guiding construction plan packages and/or master planning studiesExperience in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Letters of Map Revision, and floodplain mappingExperience with AutoCAD/Civil3D and GIS.We enjoy flexible work hours and have an open office environment to share ideas.Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually (Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown).Featured benefits include:Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance PlansPaid Maternity and Paternity Leave401(k) with 100% Company match up to 6%Employee Stock Ownership PlanProfessional Development and TrainingTuition ReimbursementPaid Time OffInterviews: Interviews will be by appointment only.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
