Job Description Summary This position processes and ensures the accuracy of the purchase order system. This position requires strong communication to both internal and external customers and suppliers. This position is responsible to help keep up vendor/ supplier information and trade agreements. Job Description Day-to-day activities Create, send, confirm and receive ship notices on direct material purchase orders. Confirm the updated trade agreement with supplier. Create, send, confirm and receive ship notices on MRO purchase orders. Confirm the updated trade agreement with supplier. Create Service purchase orders and send them to the Service department. Request for quotes for new and existing items. Reconcile purchase orders and Invoices internally or by communicating with supplier. Ensure that vendor preferences are up to date. (ie. contact information, supplier notes, currency, etc.) Enter and complete part add requests Communicate purchase orders with suppliers, confirm delivery dates, update any pricing issues, enter ship dates. Prepare, organize and e-mail internally the Days on Hand Report. Prepare, organize and e-mail the Stock Values report weekly and monthly. Communicate with the supplier Quality Control Reports and help organize any return material. Communicate with the supplier the Purchase Order Report which contains supplier performance information. (ie. unconfirmed orders, late orders, etc.) Ensure that sourcing or materials, components and sub-contractors are carried out from approved suppliers and done in a planned and controlled manner. Ensure accuracy or the purchase order form. Ensure accurate item information. (ie. trade agreement, future price UOM) Prepare the purchase price variance report/ KPI data an e-mail it to regional purchasing staff Maintain updated trade agreements with suppliers Education High school diploma minimum. years purchasing experience preferred. Knowledge of shipping and logistics systems. Previous manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge and Skills Strong computer knowledge. Strong organizational skills.
