Essential Duties and Responsibilities
' Administer appropriate REACH curriculum, aligned with the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards;
' Ensure the opportunity for all students to learn in a supportive, culturally responsive learning environment;
' Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused learning condition in the instructional environment;
' Develop and implement daily and long-range lesson plans using research-based strategies to meet the needs of all students;
' Align lesson planning, instruction, reflection, and assessment practices to the NYS learning standards;
' Analyze student data and progress with a balanced assessment system to provide effective and targeted instruction and
interventions to maximize student learning;
' Provide a classroom management plan ensuring safety at all times;
' Ensure assessment regulations and guidelines are followed at all times;
' Develops a culturally responsive classroom climate that promotes positive learning conditions;
' Collaborates effectively and professionally with administration, staff, parents/guardians, and the community;
' Develop, implement, and act as teacher of record of IEP' for students with disabilities;
' Adhere to federal, state, and local mandates in special education;
' Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans as identified by the needs of the student;
' Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

We have a very competitive salary scale that pays higher than most local districts. Our starting salary for a 1st year teacher with no prior experience is between $45,000 and $47,000 and it goes up from there aligned with years of prior experience.

REACH offers and pays 100% of Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Coverage
REACH participates in the NYS Teachers Retirement System
