Veterinary Technician Manager

We have built the practice of our dreams, a 10,000sf building right next door to our previous location. We have enhanced the client and employee experience to make a comfortable environment for all complete with tranquil sounds, mood lighting, and a calm flow. We are utilizing state of the art communications to ensure fast and easy response times to get clients and employees what they need quickly. We have a Host ready to create a smooth flow as clients make their way through the building.

Reading Animal Clinic has been providing quality medicine to our patients and clients since 1942. We are a general practice located in Reading, MA. We offer a wide variety of services such as surgery preventative care, emergency visits, ultrasound, radiology, laboratory testing, dental procedures, and digital dental imaging. We are a 5 doctor practice looking to grow our team.

We have an opening for a full time Lead Veterinary Technician to come join our family!

Our ideal candidate would:

-Be a Certified Veterinary Technician or equivalent

-Have 3 years of experience managing employees

-Be a great mentor in training the team to grow to their greatest potential

-Be ready to motivate the team

-Identify areas of weakness and work on strengthening them

-Work on achieving goals set by individuals well as the clinic

-Provide excellent customer service

-Take part in the annual employee review process

-Take part in weekly management meetings

-Be a problem solver

-Have at least 3 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician

-Have at least 3 years of Surgical and Dental experience

-Have mastered anesthesia monitoring, catheter placement, intubation, scaling, polishing, blood draws, dental x-rays, blood pressure monitoring, administering medications (IV, IM), sterile techniques, and post-surgical recovery procedures.

-Be a self-starter

-Have a positive attitude

-Be able to multitask

-Be motivated to learn

-Have excellent communication skills

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
