Quality Inspector
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for precision and quality? Reading Plastic and Metal Advanced Machining is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team and ensure the highest standards in our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, to verify product conformance.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
Identify and report non-conformities and deviations to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Assist in the development and maintenance of inspection procedures and documentation.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Participate in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
Contribute to a culture of quality, safety, and efficiency within the organization.
Qualifications of a Quality Inspector:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or quality-related education is a plus.
Proven experience as a quality inspector in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to use Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
ISO experience a plus.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as portability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Advanced experience in Microsoft - Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook, and Visio.
Ability to lead and direct machinists to make proper machine adjustments and improve current manufacturing processes.
