POSITION SUMMARY:
Operate machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and prepares machine for operation.
- Monitor and adjusts machine settings as necessary.
- Must be able to program machine control system.
- Must be able to understand and follow work order instructions.
- Must be able to determine size of raw materials to be used in machine.
- Determine thickness through use of appropriate tools
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job analysis are representative of the skill, and/or ability required.
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Experience: At least one year of experience on die cut, flexo folder or similar box plant machinery.
Specific Skills: English proficiency required, with effective oral and written skills: bilingual skills preferred. Must be able to follow instructions. Good math, reading and writing skills.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required.
Other Skills and Abilities: None.
Physical Demands: Frequently sits, bends, kneels, and reaches out with hands/arms. Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment: While performing assigned duties maintains awareness of moving equipment while monitoring and adjusting assignment to ensure finished product to specification.
