Our client, a locally owned and operated Management Company is currently seeking Tax Credit Assistant Community Manager in Boulder, CO.
This is a temporary to potential permanent position.
The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for assisting the Community Manager in the daily aspects of on site management and operations for the community at which they are employed. The assistant will also assist the Community Manager and supervisors with special projects and administrative tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Tax credit and affordable housing knowledge is required.
- A commitment to exceptional customer service is critical along with a proven track record of strong team building skills.
- Must have a good attitude and be reliable.
- High school diploma or its equivalent and one-year administrative/clerical office experience.
- Must have knowledge of basic accounting principles including account receivables and basic bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of computer operations to include basic data entry in MS Office software; Yardi software helpful.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with residents and employee.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and state landlord rights and obligations.
- Knowledge of the HUD 202, Section 8 and Low Income Housing Tax Credit programs required.
- Good phone etiquette.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with particular attention to details needed.
- Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to shift focus, as needed, to address pressing matters
- Ability to make rational decisions even while waiting for full details on any given situation
DUTIES:
- Assist in directing and supervision of leasing, maintenance, janitorial, and housekeeping staff.
- Ensure accuracy while posting rents, entering payments, and monitor, process demands
- Generate required financial reports
- Assist Community Manager in ensuring all aspects of the property run smoothly while following the company's protocol as well as all local, state and federal guidelines.
- Maintain a current knowledge of area competition and market surveys.
- Complete or supervise completion and accuracy of weekly activity reports, all rental applications and recording of all rental and leasing information.
- Assist Community Manager in the reporting, assigning, and recording of all resident requests.
- Assisting Manager in the implementation of resident renewal and retention programs.
- Responsible for the collection, receipting, and recording of all rents.
- Collection of all delinquent rents.
- Provide reports as required.
- Other tasks as assigned.
