Our residential property management company is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of our properties, as well as providing excellent customer service to our tenants. If you have a passion for repairs, property turns, and exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you!

A strong candidate will bring a full range of knowledge (including but not limited to) general handyman skills, plumbing, painting, carpentry, dry walling, landscaping, and HVAC. The position will be responsible for the timely and professional completion of tasks to the standards of our organization.

Responsibilities
As the Lead Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Performing repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC
  • Overseeing property turns to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of our tenants
  • Ensure all work orders are closed out timely (while at the home prior to next appointment)
  • Conducting routine inspections of our properties to identify any maintenance needs
  • Actively participate in the hiring process to select qualified technicians who share our commitment to exceptional customer service and quality repairs
  • Communicating with tenants to address any maintenance concerns or requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensuring accurate recording and reporting of all maintenance materials used and hours worked, promoting transparency and efficiency in our operations
  • Manage & oversee vendors
  • Perform and provide exceptional quality work and services
  • Perform work in a timely manner
  • After-hours calls and site visits as necessary
  • A clean driving record
  • The ability to pass background checks and drug testing
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • 3 years of experience, preferably in a residential setting 
  • Ability to prepare, write and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff
  • Follow established workflows and procedures
  • Ability to use software and applications to coordinate and document work assignments
  • General maintenance and repair knowledge
  • Willingness to learn
  • Must provide own tools necessary for basic maintenance functions and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Willingness to be on-call 24/7

This position will be paid by billable hours and will require occasional on-call availability.
