Supply Chain Director
Salary Range: $156,000 - $233,000 / per year
Summary
Responsible for developing the strategy and guiding the overall function of the supply chain to ensure seamless and effective operations. Also responsible for formulating and managing comprehensive supply chain strategies and tactics, focusing on the improvement of supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, risk management, and enhancement of vendor management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and manage supply chain strategy, aligning with the key corporate strategies
- Develop supply network while ensuring reduced costs and lead time efficiencies
- Build and maintain strong relationships, serve as key point of contact, and lead in high-stake negotiations with suppliers
- Actively engage with operations on the supplier delivery, quality, cost issues and drive solutions and if required, new network to support operations as an internal customer.
- Responsible for optimal logistic models and align with corporate logistics initiatives
- Research and seek out the most cost-efficient procedures and methods to meet the company’s financial goals
- Track performance and provide updates to immediate manager and/or executive staff on status of contracts and supply chain strategy
- Ensure compliance with trade initiatives and other regulatory requirements
- Enhance quality management of vendors and implement vendor audits
- Negotiate new contracts and modifications to current contracts with vendors to maximize corporate profit
- Utilize data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements
- Work closely with Business Unit and Sales functions to ensure opportunities and relationship leverage is maximized
- Assess the current organization structure and recommend/change for optimal functioning of the supply chain organization
Qualifications
Incumbents must have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in these areas. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field and at least ten (10) years of work experience showing the ability to handle complex business relationships; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the energy or petrochemical or chemical or specialty gases, semiconductor or electronics industry or development and management of strategic procurement preferred, including direct interfacing, and negotiating with suppliers
- Three (3) or more years of work experience conceptualizing and implementing large-picture projects or leading strategic procurement innovation
- Five (5) or more years of experience in managing team or department
- Experience in the development and modification of contracts with strategic suppliers/partners to achieve cost and revenue targets highly desired
- Experience in Global company preferred

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and tools
