Position: Process Engineer
Position Summary:
Under limited supervision, the Process Engineer provides mechanical and industrial engineering expertise to develop, design, and implement tools and workspaces capable of meeting the departments requirements as well as adapting the workplace to accommodate for the needs of all employees. This job class requires advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D engineering concepts, working with a diverse workforce, and the ability to serve as a technical resource to operation management.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide department level support for 2D CAD based functions with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT and 3D CAD based functions.
- Utilize mechanical design expertise to convert Engineering concepts to standard CAD drawings; Collaborate in tooling development, both internally and with customers.
- Provides technical expertise to support factory process development and design, including factory layout creation and maintenance in AutoCAD LT, CAD based process flow modeling, and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Assists in technical assignments involving minimizing the manufacturability and maintaining timely product flow for assigned production lines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by management, team, vendors and/or customers.
- Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business problems.
- Works with support teams to improve cycle times and reduce defects towards customer quality and efficiency.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors- Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of industrial engineering concepts such as factory layout and infrastructure, process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and utilization.
