The Operational Excellence Lead is key to fostering and driving a culture of sustainable change through the use of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma. They will be consultants to all areas of the business to coach and train on the implementation tools to identify and solve business, operational, and manufacturing problems and opportunities. 


Responsible for facilitating the establishment of a divisional training and quality systems policy including standard workflows to support the policy, champion QMS training process as assigned including development of key trainings and deployment. This position will ensure adherence to the processes, policies and procedures of the company and external regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Ensuring, promoting a world-class quality mindset via a robust training and quality system strategy
  • Create quality awareness within the organization through training, standardized processes, and communication
  • Develop educational material related to FDA, ISO, requirements as needed on a divisional or site level
  • Design and create educational presentations, scripts, storyboards using various design tools
  • Lead, facilitate, and coach others on Kaizens or other Lean Improvement events as required
  • Identify the best continuous improvement tools and methodologies including Lean Six Sigma and develop and apply those tools
  • Be an influential leader to drive a culture of continuous improvement in the organization
  • Contribute and drive standardization and structure into performance indicators and KPIs
  • Collaborate with other departmental members to drive improvements within the department
  • Develop and deliver training modules for Leadership Team, engineering team, manufacturing and other departments, such as A3 problem solving, kaizen, root cause analysis, 6s, etc.
  • Contribute to updating and driving the Operational Excellence Road Map.
  • Actively partner and collaborate with business areas to identify potential continuous improvement projects.
  • Partner with Business Areas to lead and foster cultural change of continuous improvement mindset by reducing waste and variation.
  • Participates in quality planning activities as applicable to training and QMS.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, develop, build, and implement key Divisional QMS policies and procedures.
  • Incorporate corporate training initiatives into the program such as Making Quality Personal Assist in the administration of the learning management system for the division Maintains and manages compliant and effective training program and quality system for the activities in scope of the role.



Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific-related field or equivalent technical experience 5 years work experience in quality functions.
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in Change Management, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence with a minimum of 3 years people management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving tools and techniques.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in driving accountability, organizing cross-functional activities and culture of quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the business and effectively interact with and influence employees, and managers on all levels.
