What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Designer position at Recorded Future?

Our Global Sales Enablement Team is focused on driving sales through deliberate go-to-market enablement strategies, programs, data driven insights, sales productivity tools, and assets to create predictable, scalable revenue.

As an Instructional Designer (ID) on our team, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Sales Enablement. You will be consulting with internal stakeholders to recommend learning solutions, managing projects, and designing and developing learning solutions that meet and/or accelerate business objectives. You will help develop and execute a strategy for onboarding at a global scale to support customer facing sales teams (including teams across all segments and industries).

You’ll be responsible for the configuration and preparation of classroom assessments that measure student participation, performance, and classroom behavior. You will be expected to provide feedback and assistance to sales reps as needed. Be prepared to work with management and fellow peers to assist in new business sales processes. Candidates should be able to assist in the continuing development and improvement of the sales career track.

Our ID will actively support the sales organization by providing advice on presentations, discussions, and other customer communications when needed throughout onboarding and beyond. The prime candidate will distill this information into job aids, performance support tools, and other courseware to provide what our sales reps need to increase effectiveness for customer conversations.

What you'll do as an Instructional Designer:

  • Update, schedule, and facilitate Sales Onboarding on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with sales and related business units on training materials, class exercises, discussions for solutions, products, processes, procedures and methodologies
  • Help identify training material learning gaps and work with the Senior Director of Sales Enablement to quickly resolve them
  • Using adult learning theory, develop a wide array of training content, including online training, job aids, presentations, user guides that support: onboarding, continuous development, product education and leadership development within Sales
  • Update existing content based on product updates and process changes to maintain its relevance and accuracy
  • Assist with metrics and manage performance impact measurement process for learning programs and activities
  • Manage all aspects of the development cycle including needs analysis, design, implementation, review, and updates for assigned projects (with direction)
  • Collaborate with members from various departments within Recorded Future to ensure that learning content is accurate, relevant, effective, and aligned with corporate messaging and branding
  • Assist developing comprehensive performance-based training programs to include Sales Methodology and target sales reps based on areas of need
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Sales Enablement to produce curriculums that support the ongoing implementation of Enablement framework and processes to build effective learning experiences
  • Use project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impact the business
  • Produce status updates in an organized and timely fashion
  • Develop deep understanding of the sales organization, including (but not limited to) key functions, sales frameworks, processes, and tools
  • Build close relationships and trust with principle business and functional sales stakeholders and the Global Sales Enablement team

What you'll bring as an Instructional Designer:

  • 2 years of experience developing Sales Enablement, within a company with a large sales team, or for a public training provider
  • Experience creating live, virtual, and asynchronous training programs based on metrics to drive performance
  • Experience in program and project management
  • Some experience working with sales professionals cross-functionally


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Field sales experience with Security technologies to Enterprise business customers, with knowledge of Industry or/and Horizontal solutions
  • Knowledgeable of sales methodologies: Value Selling, Challenger, SPIN, Sandler, Solution Selling a plus
  • Some experience talking to sales executives on strategic company objectives
  • Familiarity involving LMS and LCMS platforms
