Position Description
Therapist
Essential DutiesThis position includes, but is
not limited to, the following essential functions:- Contributes to Trivium Life
Service's mission, vision, and values by way of work product and
professional behavior with both internal and external clients and/or
referral sources.
- Adheres
to the requirements and regulations as set forth by the State Health
Department and State Board of Examiners based on clinical licensure.
- Maintains
all continuing education for licensure.
- Attends
staff/supervision/agency meetings and trainings as required.
- Adheres
to all current federal & state laws, as well as Trivium Life Services
Policies and Procedures, including the safeguarding of confidential
healthcare information and compliance with the Health Insurance
Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Maintains
all client documentation and release for billing in the electronic record within
established time frame.
- Establishes
relationships and communicates with clients, family members, and staff.
- Assists
with program implementation.
- Makes
recommendations for program improvements.
- Assists
the Director and other professionals in short and long-term planning for
the Behavioral Health program
- Reports
to the Director or Team Coordinator (or other administrative team members)
as necessary regarding support services, personnel issues, fiscal
considerations, etc.
- Completes
initial diagnostic assessments on all clients assigned to determine
treatment needs, as well as conducts ongoing assessments to determine when
clinical goals have been achieved and service delivery is no longer
indicated.
- Develops
initial treatment plans and updates treatment plans to include clinical
interventions/objectives/goals that are observable and measurable and
within established time frame.
- Provides
in-person or telehealth therapy sessions to individuals, family, or groups
as clinically indicated.
- Provides
support and crisis management services as needed or as requested by Director
or Team Coordinator.
- Completes
other duties as directed by the Director, Manager or Team Coordinator.

Physical DemandsThese physical demands are representative of the physical requirements
necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of
the Behavioral Health Therapist's job. Reasonable accommodation can be made to

While performing the responsibilities of the Behavioral
Health Therapist's job, the employee is required to talk and hear and be fluent
in the English language. The employee is often required to sit and use their
hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The
employee is often required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and may kneel
or crouch. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for an office and telehealth (if applicable)
environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to
moderate.
As applicable, work may require weekend, evening work, the
ability to remain on-call and availability to provide staff support in event of
emergencies.
As applicable, the employee may be required to travel
within state territory, and occasionally attend seminars which may require
overnight stay.
Requirements/Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications must be
valid in state territory:
- Prefer a master's degree in
Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy (JC), Healthcare, or
related field but will consider a Bachelors in a social service field with
current CADC certification or other certification that would allow them to
provide substance use disorder and/or Mental Health services in the State.
- Current
State Licensure or certification in behavioral health, social worker,
marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor or CADC
- Experience
in providing individual, group and Family therapy.
- Valid
Driver's or Chauffeur's license and a driving record that is acceptable to
Trivium Life Services' auto insurance company as applicable per state
territory.
