Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) is an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital and a residential treatment program that treats children, adolescents, and young adults.  HHRTF is located in a beautiful setting in southern New Hampshire that provides plenty of outdoor areas to play, walk, and promote well-being. Children deserve to have healthy and happy childhoods so that they can grow into wholesome and happy adults. Our devoted team is here to provide these children, adolescents, and young adults with the encouragement and positive relationships to build a brighter tomorrow.

How you make a difference

The Executive Director at Hampstead Hospital Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) oversees the operations of the hospital and ensures that all contractual requirements, state statutes, and company policies are met. They work closely with the governing board, the Vice President of Operations, and the HHRTF Chief Executive Officer to plan, organize, and evaluate all resources invested in the hospital, including human resources, facilities, equipment, and capital. Their primary goal is to ensure the delivery of best-practice patient care for all individuals being treated at Hampstead. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and implements short- and long-term plans for hospital management and organization to achieve hospital goals and objectives. 
• Coordinates resources and services to ensure effective and efficient hospital operations and service delivery. 

• Collaborates with the Chief Executive Officer and relevant personnel to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the delivery of quality patient care. 
• Directs and oversees the activities of the hospital's executive management team in financial operations, human resources, clinical operations, and quality management. 
• Serves as a liaison between the governing board, medical staff, hospital departments, and community stakeholders to promote hospital operations and the provision of quality services. 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in a mental health or administrative discipline preferred.  

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in an administrative or management position comparable to an executive staff level role in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Administrative management or supervisory experience providing service to persons with psychiatric disabilities.
