How you make a difference

The Director of Psychology and Forensic Services is responsible for leading the forensic assessment and treatment, recovery planning, and behavior management. The position also provides supervision to the Legal Administrative Assistant, Psychologists, Recovery Plan Coordinators, and oversees the psychology residency, internship, and/or practicum training program. The Director plays a leadership role in promoting high-quality forensic services that align with best practices and ethical standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees recovery planning processes and forensic assessments conducted by psychology trainees, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of court reports. 
• Acts as consultant to multidisciplinary teams, providing training on competency restoration, recovery planning, and other forensic topics. 

• Supervises Forensic Psychologists, Recovery Plan Coordinators, Peer Support Specialists, psychology students, interns, and residents. 
• Leads Disposition Board and actively works to ensure appropriate resource utilization and compliance with DCF and TJC standards. 
• Provides psychological evaluations and expert testimony to the court, oversees development of behavioral management plans, and continues professional development through education and training. 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• PhD. or Psychology PhD. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university.

Experience

• Three (3) years of mental health, forensic, supervisory and administrative experience required

Licenses/Certifications

• Current license as a Psychologist in the State of employment required.
