What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN/RN position at Recovery Unplugged?
Recovery Unplugged is hiring for full-time day shift LVN/RN to work weekends at our detox facility in South Austin! Come be a part of helping people recover from drug addiction and chemical dependency. DUTIES
- Maintains open communication with Medical Director, rotating physician, and nurse practitioners regarding client medications and needs and ensures clients are seen 1-2x weekly, per company policy.
- Oversees nursing department and is responsible for training tech staff on competency of duties.
- Coordinates care plan management and closing out EMR charting.
- Determines staff qualifications and competency: recruits, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, and rewards nursing staff, and evaluates staff performance regularly and determines merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Provides on-site training for crisis interventions, e.g. use of Narcan, AED, etc.
- Completes monthly data reports for facility.
- Follows up on incident reports.
- Serves as chief infection control officer for facility and ensures infection prevention protocol is followed, per company policy.
- Performs on-site medical observation, monitoring, and other client services.
- Assures through open communication with the pharmacy that medications and other medical needs for clients are met.
- Works with clinical, medical, and all other staff to ensure quality service for clients.
- Communicates with clinical, medical, and administrative staff regarding client issues or concerns.
- Participates in and facilitates staff meetings, as needed.
- Performs nursing assessments or delegates assessments at time of admission into services.
- Orders and inventories medical/biohazard supplies (sharps boxes, waste).
- Provides services planned to restore client to optimum social and health adjustment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current and in good standing registered nursing license (LVN/RN) in the state of Texas.
- EMR experience preferred, but not required.
