Recruit Secure, LLC is assisting our client in seeking an experienced and energetic Controller for direct hire. Our client owns and operates several for-profit, long -term care facilities i.e., Skilled Nursing Homes in Texas. The Controller will be a key member of the management team responsible to direct all fiscal operations of the company.
The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of progressive experience with Accounting and Financial processes and have a solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), budgeting, and financial analysis. Experience within the healthcare industry and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid payments, and applicable regulations are a must. The Controller will report directly to the Executive Director. (Some) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the general ledger accounting functions.
- Perform month-end closing reports including posting of adjusting journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet and profit/loss accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and reviews,
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and cash-flow projections.
- Compiling operational financial reports including accounts receivable management
- Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of finance and accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems, budgeting and payroll
- Must have strong financial analytical skills and desire to work through solutions
- Healthcare Industry experience - a must; Skilled Nursing Home experience preferred.
