Summary:
The Business System Analyst is a critical member of Quality Control Department and administrative team. Qualified candidate in this position is required to have hands on knowledge of computer systems and other business solutions, in order to develop and improve existing systems and programs. Under Quality Department, this position is responsible for ensuring that all products are produced according to the standards set- forth in SQF system. The Business System Analyst is responsible for reviewing reports submitted by support staff to ensure that all SQF standards are maintained. The Business System Analyst reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy while assisting Compliance Officer in developing new procedures and requirements to stay ahead of regulatory compliance curve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works directly with operations and support staff to schedule and control inspection activities and to enforce SQF standards.
- Develop and maintain systems to assure compliance to SQF System requirements – Including but not limited to document control, record keeping, developing and maintaining specifications, verification, product identification trace and recall, incident management and pre-requisite programs.
- Suggest and implement changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase food safety and efficiency of operations departments.
- Interface with other departments to develop and implement food safety programs as required.
- Manage HACCP system which is analyzing steps to determine critical control points in the hazard analysis and revise when changes in the operation are made.
- Lead and facilitate the customer complaint resolution and reduction.
- Initiates corrective action for procedural, product or process deficiencies.
- Inspect the plant on a routine schedule. Monitor deficiencies and track corrective actions from the routine plant inspections.
- Effectively communicate any changes or modifications to all involved parties.
- Assist with Regulatory audits, 3rd Party inspections and customer audits.
- Develop & enhance new process maps illustrating work flows in digital work space.
- Work directly with Operations Department and contribute in data extraction for ERP implementation project.
- Work directly with Quality Technicians to troubleshoot system breaches.
- Work with suppliers & customers on information that pertains to regular business practices.
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Business Administration, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or related area required.
- At least 5 - 10 years in a same or similar supervisory role in a manufacturing and production environment required;
- Comprehensive understanding of food manufacturing and packaging safety guidelines and regulations required;
- Comprehensive working experience using ERP or other CRM sales software required.
- Comprehensive understanding of HACCP, GMP, GAP and FDA regulations required;
- Previous experience with SQF, GFSI, BRC and/or USDA audits required;
- Knowledge of OSHA manufacturing and production safety guidelines;

- Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills along with verbal and written communications.
- Ability to work in team oriented environment and project management skills are essential.
- Working Knowledge of fully integrated Food Safety System with ability to achieve SQF Practitioner status.

- Routine 8-hour shift; may be subject to irregular hours based on departmental or company demands.
- Some travel will be required within the US and abroad
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Protective clothing or equipment is required including; hair net, gloves
- Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to read Company materials and computer
- Temperature controlled environment; 95% of time is spent indoors
