What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Operators position at RecruitGigs?
Now Hiring Production Line Operators for a Food Manufacturing Company in the Turlock Area.
Payrate: $17.00 HR
Shifts: 2:00pm - 10:30pm, will train for 30 days on Morning Shift (6:00am-2:30pm).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure that all products are produced safe and legal through positive environment of continuous improvement and innovation.
2. Follows all Sentient policies and procedures.
3. Assigns duties to the General Labor associated to scheduled line.
4. Checks the label against the order to ensure that the correct information is on the label.
5. Verifies that the proper seal type is used by checking production copy of the order.
6. Verifies the quantities and product by comparing the Material Planning picklist with the Order and the Production Schedule.
7. Verifies that the batches pulled to fill the order match the batches listed on the Material Planning picklist.
8. Notifies the Shift Supervisor of any discrepancies.
9. Collects all tags and verifies input product is correct prior to dumping the product. After work, order is complete turns in necessary paperwork to the Repack Clerk.
10. Performs all Metal Detector Tests as per Sensient HACCP program.
11. Inspects, cleans and logs magnet checks as stated in procedures.
12. Sanitizes equipment as determined by production schedule. Follows all procedures and policies for sanitizing of equipment.
13. Audit tool cabinets/toolboxes for tool accountability.
14. Transfers products that are to be dumped from wooden pallets to plastic pallets prior to placing on the mezzanine.
15. Palletizes and wraps all empty drums. Empties are placed in designated rows as determined by the Shift Supervisor.
16. Places all “99” drums in the proper location so that the Warehouse Lift Operator can place back into inventory.
17. Maintains work area in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
18. Performs any other tasks required or assigned by the supervisor or member of management.
19. Able to cross-train on all Chili and repack lines.
20. Complete downtime logs daily and report all breakdowns to the shift supervisor.
21. Able to input machine downtime into the computer stations and to print paperwork pertaining to the line as needed.
Environmental Conditions:
Work performed will be in all areas of the Turlock Facility. Requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. at a time. Safely roll drums up to 315 lbs. These areas frequently subject employee to extreme temperatures ranging from 35 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noises, airborne food particles (dust), and forklift fumes.
Safety Considerations:
Working safely around heavy forklift traffic, lifting properly when asked to do repetitive lifting/stacking, wearing applicable Personal Protective Equipment, and following all Safety Regulations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of Machine Operator experience.
Knowledge of Order Processing, HACCP, GMP Practices, Plant Safety, Chili Production and Repack Production.
Skills & Abilities:
1. Good proficiency in verbal and written communication in English.
2. Ability to complete simple math ( , -, x, ÷).
3. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and other functional area.
