Our Retail Business is our customer-facing operation providing integrated energy management services to commercial and industrial, power generation, and retail supply customers. Taking into account a customer’s entire energy portfolio, solutions are structured to provide competitive market pricing and to optimize energy usage and generation assets.  We offer a complete suite of services to energy-intensive retail customers, from energy supply and hedging to on-site generation management and demand response. And we provide wholesale market access and ISO interface services to a broad network of retail energy providers with footprints across the deregulated markets.  For power generation customers, we provide energy management services that encompass fuel supply, scheduling, dispatch, market analysis and risk management all within a single contract.  Focused on service, we created a digital integrated platform and customer interface that allows transparent views into energy portfolios and invoices, market prices, analytics and weather.

Job Summary

This Desk Head, Generation Services Northeast is primarily responsible for overseeing a team responsible for maximizing customer assets to the fullest potential across PJM, NYISO, and ISONE in a 24 X 7 X 365 operation. This role is very involved in establishing strong client relationships in the region and an in-depth understanding of the clients’ business objectives to determine the most effective execution strategies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring, growing and participating in the execution of EDF’s portfolio of Generation Services Energy Management (EMA) business in the Northeast region
• Overall asset management responsibility for contracted EDF Energy North American EMA assets in Northeast
• Responsible for maximizing assets financial and operational performance
• Demonstrate the ability to assist owners on a daily basis to achieve the goals of each investment
• Identify and execute value enhancement opportunities for each project/investment
• Responsible for establishing long-range project business strategies with ownership
• Responsible for overseeing community, environmental and regulatory actions for each ISO
• Responsible for tracking and managing all contract requirements with owners, lenders and other interested parties
• Accountable for overall delivery of budgetary targets in Northeast EMA business
• Responsible for a working understanding of all regulatory rules and responsibilities in Northeast while working with EDF Regulatory and vendor stakeholder groups

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering, Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a similar role or industry.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel with a focus on automation
• Keen understanding of electricity markets, with specific knowledge of ISO’s as well as non-ISO markets. Knowledge of northeast gas markets and pipelines preferred
• Able to demonstrate strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and management skills.
• Thorough understanding of business processes and data management; ability to make suggestions for continuous improvements
• Able to demonstrate a highly motivated demeanor, ability to be a self-starter, friendly personality, and team player.
