Our client is building the first of its kind Web3 operating platform that is entirely smart contract based focusing on serving on-chain use cases.
Their mission is to bridge the gap that would enable the next wave of enterprises, funds and institutions to operate on-chain in a safe, compliant and efficient way.
Our client is looking for a Team Lead / Head of Engineering to join their team in NYC!
In this role, you will:
Work directly with the CEO and have visibility into all aspects of the company
Engage directly with our customers to iterate and build a best-in-class user experience
Write code, as we expect our technical leaders to lead by example by being in the trenches with other engineers
Implement and enforce engineering and operational best practices. You will set the bar for the engineering team and ensure the team delivers extraordinary results
Be responsible for the company’s technical strategy and vision. You will need to balance reliability, speed of iteration, robustness & security in the short- and long-term
Represent the company externally by working with customers and partners or participating in events
Help drive company culture and mentor engineers, both junior and senior
What we're seeking

BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or other technical degrees
5 years of experience in hands-on software engineering, as well as technical leadership (tech lead or people manager)
Experience building technologies in the crypto space
Strong problem solving skills with experience independently delivering large initiatives end-to-end, from idea to live and adding value
Experience with languages and frameworks such as TypeScript, React, or GraphQL
Experience with tools, practices, and programming patterns for ensuring software correctness
Fluent in writing design documentation as well as participating in technical discussions and reviews synchronously, asynchronously, in person or remotely
Product-driven mindset with deep empathy for our customers
Strong desire to work at a very early stage startup with interest to take on project from zero to one with collaboration with the rest of the core team
Love working hard and enjoy a fast-paced environment with a delivery-minded mentality: innovate, iterate, and ship fast
