Circa - Lounge Hostess

JOB SUMMARY: A Hostess presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The Host/Hostess also: Greets Guests upon arrival, informs Guests of their wait time, monitors a waiting list, enters Guest’s names into the computer system, shows Guests to their table and bids Guests farewell as they leave. A Host/Hostess must be able to carry on a natural conversation with Guests without sounding scripted or intrusive. Availability must include nights and weekends.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned seating area; present menus; announce server's name Inform Guest of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff Manage the flow of Guests into the lounge and sportsbook areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriate Tend to special Guest needs and requests Observant to Guests' needs throughout experience to ensure they receive high quality service Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies   QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to read menus Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance Must be able to clearly communicate Guests' needs to Servers, Bartenders, Managers, etc. Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to respond to Guest requests Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work a variety of shifts Ability to work effectively within a team   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required Must be able to obtain all required work cards   PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking and standing for extended periods of time Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and may contain secondhand smoke Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy Ability to lift 50 pounds Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests DISCLAIMER: This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
