The Plant Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of our dairy processing facility. This position is critical for maintaining high operational standards and ensuring the efficient production of quality dairy products. The Plant Manager will lead a team of dedicated personnel, including production supervisors, maintenance staff, and quality control technicians, to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of production plans to meet customer demand and production targets, while maintaining consistent product quality and safety standards.
Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, production efficiency, and equipment maintenance.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry best practices, implementing and maintaining HACCP and GMP programs.
Provide leadership and guidance to production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, quality assurance, and finance, to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage inventory levels and effectively utilize resources to meet production goals.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners, ensuring reliable and cost-effective supply chains.
Identify and implement innovative technologies and practices to enhance plant efficiency and performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in dairy processing or a related industry, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of dairy processing operations, including pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging.
Demonstrated understanding of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage employees.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
