What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copywriter position at Red Antler?
At Red Antler, we launch and grow brands. We've done this for Prose, Hinge, and Jot to name a few. Our Advertising team is seeking a Copywriter with a talent for big ideas, a passion for the writing craft, and experience developing copy for a variety of channels and mediums. Primarily partnering with an Art Director, you'll help generate impactful ideas and tactics, craft copy for all touchpoints, and foster your work from concept through execution.
- Work with an Art Director to generate provocative, impactful ideas for everything from campaigns, to explainer videos, to social ads��and see them through production.
- Act as the owner of the written word for all your projects - adapting language and tone based on audience, channel, and industry.
- Craft copy for everything from taglines, to manifestos, to brand video scripts, to radio, to OOH, to social posts and 60-second spots and beyond.
- Support Senior Copywriters/ACDs and CD in client presentations, and speak on behalf of specific ideas or copy.
- Work closely with senior creatives and strategists to ensure creative ideas are insightful, thoughtful, and on brief.
- Assist senior teammates on large projects, from initial concepts to final production.
- Play an active role in the production and editing processes.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- You have 2-4 years of experience within a creative agency, ideally working across multiple mediums (social, digital, broadcast, etc), and multiple clients.
- You nerd out on grammar, and enjoy the craft of writing. Tinkering with different headline conventions, experimenting with tonality, and finding new ways to say more with less is your jam.
- You're a fan of the semicolon; you also know how to use it.
- You're highly strategic, striving to write copy that is both clever and conceptually on-point.
- You're culturally voracious, staying on the pulse of emerging technology, art forms, and entertainment
- You're highly collaborative and kind. You meet challenges with a sense of possibility and openness.
- You're hungry to learn and try new things, both in terms of your own skillset, and in terms of the ideas we bring to clients.
- You have impeccable grammar, and great attention to detail.
- You're excited to think unconventionally about how to create a rich body of work for brands that are new to the world - working closely with founders and their teams to make a big impact, with a startup mentality.
