What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager (Security Clearance) position at Red Cell Partners?
DEFCON AI is seeking an experienced Program Manager for DoD contracts that architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain a variety of mission critical software systems that play a large role in our nation’s security. A successful Program Manager will oversee the fulfillment of larger organizational goals in coordination with Defcon leadership.
Program manager will:
- Provide management, direction, and leadership over a diverse team building a world class product for a large, technically diverse portfolio.
- Manage government contracts to meet or exceed all contract deliverables and maintain schedule, scope and financial objectives. Deliverables include support to customer exercises, product intake, product demonstrations, analytics and reports, and other contractual obligations beyond software.
- Interface with Government client executives (U.S. Air Force), program managers, and mission operator stakeholders to understand and execute customer mission priorities.
- Jointly develop and execute strategic vision for a complex organization balancing strategic and tactical priorities. Integrate processes across DEFCON AI’s business areas (Engineering, Analytics, Delivery, and Product) to develop and deliver contract deliverables on time.
- Understand and advocate for the customer’s mission.
- Effectively engage and interact with company support organizations (e.g., finance, contracts, HR) to maintain delivery excellence.
- Effectively manage the program to customer and company financial objectives and report as applicable.
- Manage program budgets and GAAP revenue recognition principles.
- Manage the program budget process and coordinate with managers, project managers, and vendors to ensure project resources are applied efficiently and effectively.
- Arbitrate and resolve conflict within the program when necessary. Understand appropriate paths and methods for escalation.
- Be a resource to project managers in developing upfront estimates of time and resource utilization through organized discovery with stakeholders, resources and vendors.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or science to include Information Systems, Data Analytics, or other related fields, and 10 years of relevant experience.
- A least 10 years of experience managing programs with a technology diverse application portfolio.
- Experience delivering programs in a DoD environment, initially with the U.S. Air Force.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent client interaction skills to build and maintain trusted relationships.
- A U.S. SECRET Security Clearance or above.
Desired:
- Active Program Management Profession (PMP) certification from the Project management Institute (PMI)
- Experience with Agile and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies.
- Product Management Experience
- SaaS application experience
- Broad understanding of modern and legacy IT technologies, frameworks and methodologies
