As a Host/Hostess, you’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our guest's experience beginning with their first impression and bids guests farewell as they leave. Responsibilities:
- Manages guest reservations and greets and seats guests on arrival
- Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service.
- Informs guest of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
- Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas
- Maintains complete knowledge of the restaurant features, cuisine, general information and hours of operations
- Promptly answers incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
- Manages the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provides accurate wait times.
- Ensures reservation system is managed in an organized manner.
- Reviews all reservations and communicates all special requests to managers, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure prompt and courteous service.
Requirements:
- Attention to cleanliness and safety.
- Patience and customer-oriented approach.
- Excellent communications and people skills with a friendly attitude.
- Develop positive relations with kitchen staff, management, and other team members.
- Ability to deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
- Notify cleaning staff of unsafe conditions or other issues requiring their attention.
- Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures, as well as, side work such as folding napkins.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous Host/ Hostess experience is preferred or a minimum of 1-year experience in food service/hospitality.
- Knowledge of the food & beverage menu items.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and management.
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends, and shifts from morning- late night.
- Position will require frequent standing, bending/kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
Skills

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
