Position Summary: Red Lion Controls, an operating company of Spectris, is undergoing a period of significant change and growth. An organization with a significant and exciting foothold in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) space, Red Lion has historically been dependent on a wide network of distributors to reach its end customers. With plans to double or possibly triple in size over the next three years through both organic and inorganic growth, Territory Account Managers (TAM) will be on the forefront of driving this growth. Reporting to the VP of Finance and IT, the Senior IT Director will be a key driver of IT strategy throughout the business. Strategic growth in the IT space has started to happen within Red Lion, but the company needs a transformation driver who can accelerate it to the next level. In addition to adding value to the IT department, this role could play an integral part of our M&A strategy and will contribute to the long-term growth and success of Red Lion. Essential Job Functions Plan, develop, and implement IT strategies for growth throughout Red Lion Identify and recommend growth strategies for the IT department moving forward Evaluate mergers & acquisitions as they arise to recommend strategies for convergence and integration success by performing due diligence from an IT perspective Focus on delivering business value and solutions to develop ideas Collaborate with Red Lion’s executive leadership team to create an IT strategy that aligns with the long-term business goals of Red Lion Work cross-functionally within Red Lion to implement IT strategy and streamline operations. Key internal stakeholders and partners include marketing, engineering, operations and human resources Develop a team of IT professionals Craft an approach to assist this global organization in ensuring that our help desk is available when our globally-based employees need them Evaluate “next generation” tools to support the continued development of our customer experience Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or related subject, graduate degree in business administration or information technology preferred 15 years of experience in the IT field with demonstrable achievement of big goals 5 years of experience managing a team Experience with broad range of potential IT tools and infrastructure from the “standard” requirements to cutting-edge technology Experience in end-to-end project management for the launch of one or more major interface systems (i.e. CRM, HRIS, inventory control, etc.). Skills Excellent communication skills both up and down the organization chart, and cross-functionally within and throughout non-technical teams Strong ability to build rapport and be viewed as a business partner throughout the organization Highly skilled at problem solving and negotiation to achieve equitable resolutions at the executive level Ability to develop and scale an IT team to support a growing, international business. Strong customer focus for both internal and external stakeholders Working Conditions Occasional travel, including international, may be required.
