Job Summary:  This is a great spot for someone new to working in a commercial kitchen, on a busy production line. Start as a pizza topper and get a feel for our pace, expectations, and products before moving into a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Grill Cook position at Red Lodge Pizza Co.


Essential Job Duties: include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Sets up stocking stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients
  • Prepares high-quality pizzas according to the company’s proven  recipes
  • Memorizes and utilizes our serving portion sizes 
  • Prepares pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings
  • Ensures that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.  
  • Keep your pizza line clean and organized at all times
  • Works with our team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed
  • Communicates with co-workers clearly, marking off-menu items as they are put into the oven
  • Monitors product freshness and rotates out old products based on a schedule  
  • Ability to operate an industrial dishwasher safely and rapidly
  • Monitor pizza oven temperature
  • Ensuring all utensils are sterilized before each use.  Follows sanitation and safety policies at all times
  • Performs daily duties such as opening, closing, and side work
  • Basic janitorial skills to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, talk, or hear.  The employee must lift and move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a kitchen environment. This role uses ovens, grills, knives, and mixers, among other restaurant equipment.  This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to long periods of standing. The nature of hospitality requires employees to work weekends, holidays, and late hours.
