PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Director of Military Program will plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the facility's therapeutic programs. Responsible for developing and maintaining administrative and clinical operations that provide the highest quality care and best possible outcomes for the patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Contributes to the planning and implementation of program goals, objectives, personnel, resources and equipment. Implement the approved program plan objectives, timetables, expected outcome and measures for assigned areas of responsibility.
Oversees the program's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits. Work may involve directing counselors, clinical staff or other facility / clinic staff involved in the delivery of services through the program. Provides management and oversight for the facility program.
Organizes, manages and coordinates all operational and administrative processes.
Develops and implements procedures to ensure efficient operations of the program; continually identify opportunities to improve program's efficiency; coordinate care delivery, work flow; oversee scheduling, registration, discharge and billing processes for the person(s) receiving services according to facility / clinic procedure.
Responsible for an assigned caseload if applicable to the program.
Supports, teaches and acts as a program resource for other staff members.
Provides direct care relative to diagnosis and therapeutic management independently, using consultation where appropriate.
Monitors staff schedules to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are available to facilitate care in a timely manner.
Works closely with the lead clinical and non-clinical staff for the facility to provide a team approach to care.
Develops and implement treatment plans, develop and maintain and audit charts and records for person(s) receiving services.
Notifies attending physician as required for non-routine care or other unusual medical circumstance.
Serves as liaison and provides consultation with other staff on related issues, regulations, and standards pertaining to area of clinical specialty.
Assists in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures for the program or organization; ensures that procedures and workflow are consistent with organizational objectives, treatment protocol, regulations, and standards of care; ensures that operations conform to established environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.
Provides outreach services in area of clinical specialty as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in behavioral or mental health or related field required.
Four or more years of experience working with the military population, both veterans and active duty required.
One or more years of experience in a supervisory role required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
LPC, LMSW, or LCSW license in the state of Texas required.
EMDR, CPT, and additional certification highly preferred.
CPR and SAMA required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
