Red Stripe restaurant, located in Providence, Rhode Island, serves creatively refined comfort food with an upscale French influence.
The host is responsible for providing the guest with a sensational experience through excellent product knowledge, strong customer service skills, a positive attitude and with a great sense of urgency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide maximum level of guest service according to Encore Hospitality Group’s expectations as outlined in the training manual and Recipe for Success. Follow the Steps of Service as outlined in the training manual.
- Greet guests and provide them with accurate wait times while monitoring current guests.
- Manage reservations and answer incoming calls regarding reservations.
- Escort customers to assigned dining and/or bar areas.
- Coordinate and assist wait staff as needed.
- Must be available to work hours and shifts as scheduled. Punches in and out in accordance with the schedule approved by the Manager.
- Must have a strong personal interest in achieving guest satisfaction.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, fellow employees and management.
- Must be well groomed and behave in a professional manner. Comes to work in accordance with the dress code policy in a clean, pressed uniform.
- Maintain complete guest satisfaction as the number one priority.
- Competently operate the Toast POS system or alternative system.
- Complete necessary opening, operating and closing side work duties.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area with particular attention to floors and guest service areas.
- Perform all other duties and assignments as requested by management.
- Follow all company policies as outlined in orientation and in the Encore Handbook.
Qualifications:
- Able to read and communicate in English effectively.
- Able to multitask in fast-paced environment.
- Able to stand for the duration of eight hour shift.
- Able to work in a team setting to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Able to work at a consistently fast pace in a loud environment.
