Summary Manage day to day operations of shop floor by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage all ongoing jobs to ensure on time delivery.
- Work with shop employees to improve quality and efficiency (including design and manufacturing).
- Communicate with customers for support and to resolve issues.
- Manage / schedule workload for shop for inventory / stock items.
- Manage inventory of standard manufactured products.
- Project management : Follow jobs through entire process of manufacturing and assembly. Close communication with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and assembly.
- Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or
- operation changes to be implemented.
- Communicate with employees regarding vacations, personal time off, and issues.
- Coordinate with General Manager on day to day operations, efficiency and performance of shop floor.
- Provides hands on support and backs up Tool Maker as needed.
Requirements :
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum 10 years' experience in manual and CNC machining and programming.
- Minimum 10 years' experience managing employees.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively with customers and across all levels of the organization.
- Project management experience.
- Mastercam experience a plus.
