What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration Service Technician position at Reddy Ice LLC?
Duties: Mechanical/electrical service background
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with HVAC equipment.
- Conduct field service visits to residential and commercial properties to assess and address HVAC problems.
- Weld and solder components as needed for equipment repair.
- Complete property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems.
- Drive a company van to travel to different job sites.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing HVAC/R equipment.
- Proficient in welding and soldering techniques.
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems and their components.
- Ability to perform field service visits and address customer concerns.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Note: Experience in appliance repair is a plus, but not required.
