POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing, the Nursing Team Leader provides nursing support to the practice of psychiatry as appropriate for adults and/or children who are ReDiscover clients in accordance with the standards of clinical practice established by the State of Missouri and the policies and procedures of ReDiscover.
The Nurse Team Leader will be responsible for direct supervision of the nursing staff who are assigned to our med clinics.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring competency of nursing staff
- Providing education as needed
- Completing annual evaluations
- Rotating 24-hour coverage on-call
- Managing timecards
- Problem solving with other members of leadership to improve quality of care
SHIFT REQUIREMENT
Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, flex hours during the weekend as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- RN or BSN degree
- At least two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience in a mental health or substance abuse setting and/or with clients who have co-occurring mental health disorders is preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Missouri.
- The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance abuse, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, etc).
- Completion of MANDT training within 60 days of hire.
- Completion of BLS/ACLS.
- The ability to screen clients in crisis and ensure appropriateness in level of care
